Last but Not least

At the end of this project that was successful from every side. I would like to write my Final word about it.

The self-initiated project was one of the most flourishing projects for this year. I think if I had a chance to change something it’s going to be the posters. I am confident about the concept of it. But I think I could play more with the type and the background. And I wanted to do more idea’s and more versions for the posters.

About the video: I think as the first documentary for me it was successful with a lot of challenges. I also learned a lot of new things. First of all I always thought interviews were easy, but what I learned that it is really not easy to control people and also choosing the right place for the interview. There was a lot of noise around. So the sound was not clear. But at the end I managed to have four different interviewee. I also had a problem in deleting the video by mistake and I learned to copy my sequence all the time and back up my work. Another thing is the time management I had some other projects going on with this. This was another challenge for me to achieve all the other projects on time.

It have been a long time since i updated the blog. 

I am in the process of Both Video and Posters. 

In my Video: i will be documenting the life in the uae and i am including interviews with young Emirati's. My questions are :

 1-What do you know about you heritage? 

2-What does it mean to you to be Emirati? 

3- Do you think the traditional Dress code will vanish away one day ? 

4- What do you think of the future of the UAE young generation ? 

In my documenting i found a lot of difficulties. 

such as 'people not cooping with me. 

Some of the interviewee didn't take it seriously. 

But others have been really helpful. 

In my posters i am trying to combine the heritage with modernity. i tried to involve something that is really popular among Young Emirati.

-How did you reach people ?

through our be emirati act emirati campaign that took place at zayed university, abu dhabi university, alhosn university and HCT.


-What was the reaction ?
students were questioning themselves if whether media has affected them or not. our strong images made students realize how they are losing their identity while not knowing.

-is there any negative sides u want to share ?
no

-Do u think there is enough awareness among young emirati of loosing there culture and heritage ?!
very poor awareness, our young generations do not know how precious their national identity is, especially in our case as the minority of the population. we could easily fade away.
